Regarding my MGB’s, I keep my 70 pale primrose (soft yellow) 1970 split bumper pretty much all original - all I've done is change the carbs from dual SU HS4's to dual HS6's for a bit more pep, carpet the trunk, add chrome window cranks for more strength after I broke one, and I have a new CD/USB stereo to install.  See more on this car below and at:  1970 MGB.

However, I have a bit of an “anything goes” attitude to my spitfire red 78 rubber bumper one, having done a high-performance engine rebuild and many things to the body, interior, and wheels; additionally, I'm getting ready to lower it to early-MGB specs, beef up the suspension, and make other changes on it.  See more on this car below and at:  1978 MGB.

I have two of these "Little British Cars" (LBC's):  a 1970 "split chrome bumper" (the only year the B had a rear bumper that was in two pieces, one on either side of the license plate) and a 1978 rubber bumper.

The 70 model is almost completely original with no cracks or tears on the dash or seat covers.  The engine is stock and was rebuilt about 22,000 miles ago.  The only changes are an upgrade to dual SU HS6 carbs rather than the stock HS4's and carpet in the trunk.  It is my daily driver.  See more on this car at:  1970 MGB.

The 78 has had much done to it, including new paint, new interior & trunk upholstery-carpeting, and a high-performance engine rebuild: 

Balanced, 190,000 psi racing internals, high-compression pistons, heavy-duty oil & water pumps, roller rockers, rocker oiler, tri-alloy heat-dissipating valve cover, dual Weber DCOE 45 carbs & rams, dual cold air intake system & under-car air rams, MSX tri-alloy heat-dissipating cross-flow head, double springs, heavy-duty valves, MSX street-racing cam, oil filter relocated by radiator overflow tank, oil thermostat, 19-row oil cooler, exhaust cooling system & under-car air ram, dual thermostatically-controlled exhaust manifold cooling fans, Monza flow-through header & exhaust system, braided hoses, 4 Speed overdrive.  See more on this car at:  1978 MGB.
